Storage of the Skip Hop Chelsea Chic Diaper Bag:

The Chelsea Skip Hop backpack’s design is focused on chic and style whilst still giving you the spacious and lightweight bag that is needed for a baby or toddler.  Measuring in at around 12 x 12 x 16 inches and weighing only 15 ounces.

We found that the Skip Hop Chelsea bag is great for those that like to be organised!

• It has six pockets 
• 2 x Insulated side bottle pockets (although they are not elastic so bottles tend to fall out if you bend over with the backpack on your back!)
• Two front zip pockets
• The inner bag area is divided into two compartments.

Ease of Use of the Skip Hop Chelsea Diaper Backpack

The only slight drawback that we could think of about the Skip Hop Backpack Chelsea Baby Bag is that it only has a drawstring opening.  Whilst the drawstring opens nice and widely, the items at the bottom of the bag might suffer from ‘blackhole’ syndrome and it might take a while to find exactly what you are after.  The drawstring of the Skip Hop black diaper bag does help to keep items inside the bag as the magnetic flap over the top is slightly weak and tends to detach from the magnet.

We found that the Skip Hop Backpack Diaper Bag Chelsea is really lightweight.  Of course the beauty of a backpack style nappy bag is that you can have both hands free to hold your wiggly baby-love.

The straps on this backpack are adjustable and padded.  We thought that the padding is a bit thin so you don’t want to plan any hiking trips with this backpack!  The focus of this design is for city chic and style above comfort.

When you feel like you don’t want to carry this backpack, you can also very easily attach it to your stroller! (The Skip Hop Diaper Bag stroller straps are one of our favorite features)!

Quality of the Chelsea Skip Hop Diaper Bag:

The fabric of the Skip Hop Chelsea Downtown backpack is made from Nylon with Faux Leather features.  It is durable and you can we found that you can very easily wipe the bag down to keep it looking flash!

The bag also boasts sturdy stitching together with a pretty sturdy frame. The zips are big, trendy and modern, but also easy to use.

An improvement that could be made to the ‘Chelsea’ diaper bag backpack is in the strength of the magnet closure.  Many customers mention how the flap doesn’t stay closed.  As the bag is a drawstring the contents still stay put, but hopefully this is a feature that will be improved in new designs from Skip Hop bags in the future!

Comparison between the Skip Hop Forma vs Chelsea Backpack

Both of these backpacks comes with included stroller straps, baby change pad and both have insulated bottle pockets.

Size:

The Skip Hop Forma Backpack is slightly larger in size.  The Forma measures 16l x 8w x 14h, whilst the Chelsea comes in at 12l x 12w x 16h.

Colors:

The Chelsea backpack is available in black only, where you can find the Forma backpack in 3 different colors and 1 pattern style.

Organizational Cubes:

An extra benefit of the Forma backpack is that it comes with some cubes that you can use to organize all your baby goodies.

Pockets:

We love that the Forma has pockets that can hold your tabled or laptop as well as an additional pocket especially for your phone.

Closure System:

Our pet peeve with the beautiful Chelsea diaper bag is that it opens and clothes via a drawstring and magnet.  The Forma has a much more functional closure system, with a large wide opening and zip closure system.
